Instead of footnotes, the author’s surname and article number are placed in parentheses within the body of the text.  To document the article cited above: (Hayden, Art. 66).  If there are two or more works by the same author in the works cited list, add a shortened version of the title: (Hayden, “The Age,” Art. 66).
