Welcome to our school
"Helping Students Achieve Their Dreams", Galesburg High School is a four-year high school with an enrollment just over 1,300 serving the the students of District 205. GHS offers a diverse curriculum, taught on the block schedule, inlcuding both honors classes and vocational classes offered by an area vocational center headquartered in the building. GHS also offers its students many opportunities to participate in activities, ranging from athletics and music to drama and Scholastic Bowl.
Work continues on GHS campus

Theme Nights announced for Student Spirit Association
Galesburg High School's Student Spirit Association (SSA) has determined themes for many of the home basketball games. Students are encouraged to cheer in the student section located behind the home bench and dress in "theme attire". Lumberjack Night will kick things off Tuesday, Nov. 26th as the GHS girls take on Alleman in the first home Western Big 6 game. Here is a list of the theme nights for 2013-14.

What's it going to look like when it's done?
With construction progressing in earnest on the Galesburg High School campus on the new stadium and multi-purpose physical education/athletic facility, many people wonder "what will it look like when it's done?" a more complete picture of the learning environment at every school in Illinois,
providing information about academic performance, the school environment,
available courses and programs.

Student Council has a supply of Activity calendars for sale for $3.00. These are a great way to keep up on all the events at Galesburg High School.
Music students in ILMEA District Festival
Congratulations to the following Galesburg High School music students who participated the ILMEA District Festival. They included: Jeffrey Knox (band), Sara Murphy (band), Jordan Shroyer (band), Elena Prado-Ragan (orchestra), Stacy Bile (choir), Ellaina Devena (choir), Paulina Dickson (choir), Graham Holmes (choir), Baron Lam (choir), Amanda Mines (choir), Blake Syron (choir), Maria Wollin (choir), Jillian Young (choir), Justin Niles (jazz band), Miranda Siegrist (jazz band).
The new home for up-to-the-date information on Silver Streaks athletics has moved to Athletics 2000. The website will be directly integrated with the Athletic Department's scheduling program.
Holiday Basketball Tournaments
Brackets for the boys and girls holiday basketball tournaments have been released. The GHS varsity boys will return to Taylorville and girls will heading to Mattoon after a run at Charleston's tournament in previous years.
