Galesburg High School and District 205 are lucky to have Ann Pachniak as their staff Athletic Trainer. She is now in her ninth year at GHS and is excited for the upcoming seasons. She is originally from Sheboygan, WI, but has spent time traveling all over the
Midwest with her career. She attended the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh where she earned a bachelors degree in nursing. She then worked as an RN for three years while attending school at Illinois State University earning her masters in Athletic Training. Her career then lead her to intern at a Division III college in Ohio. Shortly thereafter she moved to Indiana where she worked in an orthopedic and physical therapy clinic for seven years, also helping with two area high schools. Finally, she came to Galesburg, where she has been ever since. She is the first full time staff athletic trainer to be at GHS, and is the only one in the Western Big 6 conference. Her hobbies include traveling and outdoor activities as well as camping and visiting her home state of Wisconsin. Some of her pet peeves are stringy tape, torn ice bags, and referees who can't make the right call.
