Professional History and Responsibilities:

Special Education Guidance Counselor (August 2005 to present)
Duties:  personal, academic, and career counseling, assist students with college and job application, create letters of recommendation, adjust and confirm student schedules, consultant to teachers and parents regarding IEP issues, liaison between special education students, parents and teachers, and attend all 8^th grade IEP meetings.  Case manage several students with IEPs.  I am responsible for writing their annual IEPs, checking on their grades, monitoring their IEP goals and meeting with parents at their Annual Reveiws.  Test accommodations coordinator for all students with IEPs, 504s or Flex Plans.

Special Education Department Chairman (August 1998 to present)
Duties:  attend Department Chair meetings, facilitate Department Meetings, dispense information to other members of the department as handed down by administrators, answer questions of faculty and staff members regarding special education issues, act as liaison between special education students, parents and teachers. 

Special Education Teacher (1994-2005)
Duties:  preparation of daily lessons plans, delivered resource and instructional services for learning disabled, behavior disordered and mildly mentally impaired students in grades 9-12, case managed several student which entailed meeting with parents, writing their IEPs, tracking their IEP goals, consulting with regular education teachers and conducting Annual Review meetings.
